This visit aims to study the development of the coconut sector from upstream to downstream in Indonesia.

request your assistance with the following:

1.   Welcoming the Vietnam Delegation to your esteemed office and providing them with 
   necessary information on BSIP PALMA and its activities, including visiting plantations 
   and processing units.
2. Arranging visits to coconut processing factories such as PT. Sasa Inti, PT. Royal Coconut, 
   PT. Indo World, or Cargill, as well as to tourism destinations in North Sulawesi.

• The main purposes of the visit are:
  ❖ Visit ICC office and Indonesia Coconut Association;
  ❖ To find opportunities for cooperation with farm owners, processing companies,
  and exportersin Sulawesi Indonesia;
  ❖ Visit coconut farm: to see coconuts at its harvest age, and the process of
  coconut picking,collecting, and peeling;
  ❖ Visit factories producing coconut products with the ability to cooperate between
  production andexport (with the priority of coconut water production);
  ❖ To study about:
  o Common and advanced farm management; Cultivation techniques from seed to
  harvest;
  o Common economic development of coconut trees (e.g. intercropping, combine
  withfish farming);
  o Coconut varieties and propagation methods;
  o Methodology to calculate productivity and manage yield in growing areas.

Hasil perkebunan merupakan salah satu sumber ekonomi dari warga Desa Adom. Petani memanfaatkan kelapa, cengkih dan pala sebagai mata pencarian. Desa Adom dengan penduduk sekitar 1.125 kepala keluarga merupakan salah satu desa yang masuk dalam koridor kawasan pengembngan Burung Maleo. 

Pelaksanaan praktik dilakukan di kawasan/wilayah Mopopungue yang merupakan demplot WildLife Conservation Society (WCS). Wilayah ini merupakan kawasan hutan dan dekat areal perkebunan kelapa milik petani
